As the found member of Guardian Residential I am still involved with the daily running of the business. I have over 30 years’ experience in the Harlow property market and an extensive knowledge of all matters of estate agency, lettings and property management. I coordinate staffing, business strategies and perform and mentor / training role to senior staff. I oversee the team provide an exceptional service for vendors / purchases / landlords and tenants alike.
Mike Coleman – Partner
I joined Guardian in 2001 and became a partner of the business in 2003. I have recently joined our expansive Estate Agency team, after spending the majority of my career working for both the Residential Lettings and the Residential Management departments. I have bought and sold many houses with my family in the past and understand how at times it can be a stressful experience and look forward to working with our customers to make this experience as smooth and trouble free as possible. I feel that my honest, open and steadfast approach to this will be key in achieving your goals.
Paul Andreotti – Residential Sales Partner
I joined Guardian in 2005 and have worked both as a Residential Sales and Residential Lettings agent. Throughout this time I have built up a strong knowledge of the entire industry. I pride myself in providing accurate valuations that result in a successful exchange and completion. I follow the property market closely and have a genuine interest in the buy-to-let market and believe that I can offer sound advice to investors, first time buyers and home movers alike. I oversee a successful energetic team that are here to serve your Residential Sales needs. As a partner I am committed to the success of the company and believe that honesty and integrity will result in this.
Laura Tunnell - Residential Property Management Partner
I joined Guardian in 2006, initially as a secretary. Throughout the years I have become familiar with all aspects of property management including final inspections, inventories, routine property inspections, maintenance, legislation and accounts and I am now Partner of the business. I oversee all administration and property management and my wealth of property knowledge gained over the years proves extremely useful on a day to day basis.
Lee Surtees – Residential Property Management Partner
I have worked for Guardian Residential since 2005. I am currently responsible for bridging the gap between the Residential Lettings department and the Residential Management department. I oversee the setting up of all the new tenancies including our in house referencing procedure, drawing up of the legal documentation and ensuring that all of our new tenancies meet current legislation. I oversee the end of tenancy process, including final inspections. My role is to ensure that the start and end of each tenancy is a smooth transaction for landlords and tenants. I have a keen eye for graphic design and am involved with the design of the company advertising and branding.
Rachel Wells - Residential Lettings Partner
I joined Guardian in 2004 and have now become a partner in the business.I oversee the Residential Lettings Department, dealing with all new rental enquiries, meeting new landlords and listing properties. I am also involved with the marketing of the company, social media and website administration. I am up to date with the legislation involved with preparing a property to let and can advise potential landlords accordingly. Over the years I have seen many agents start-up, close and the market fluctuate however I am focused on our standards remaining very high and continuing to be the market leader for many years to come.
Gemma Smith - Senior Administrator/ trainer
I have worked for Guardian Residential in excess of 20 years, formerly as a Partner of the business successfully managing the property management department, and more recently as a part time trainer and consultant for all aspects of administration and legislation. I can switch between maintenance, accounts, administration and lead a very varied role.
Rebecca Hodges – Senior Property Manager
I joined the Guardian Residential team in early 2016 after working for a well-known recruitment consultancy in the area where I had previously recruited lettings and estate agency staff. I decided to make the jump to property management to further my career whilst retaining the aspects of customer service and communication which I had enjoyed in my previous role. I oversee the property management team alongside Laura Tunnell and Rebecca Hawes, my main duties include conducting inventories, doing property inspections, arranging maintenance and bridge the gap between landlords and tenants to ensure that the highest standards of Guardian Residential are met.
Rebecca Hawes – Senior Property Manager
I joined the Guardian Residential team early in 2017 after working for a corporate lettings agency for many years. I decided to make the switch to working for an independent agent as I felt that the level of customer service would be higher and I would have an opportunity to further my career. Over the years I have gained experience in numerous aspects of the lettings industry including negotiation, property management and accounts. I currently oversee the rent processing, chase any rent arrears and I am training on the full eviction process.
Dempsey Favell - Property Manager
I joined Guardian in 2017 to further my property career. I have worked within the estate agency industry for many years however this is my first property management role, which I am looking forward to getting stuck in to. I have a wealth of experience in the Harlow and Epping markets which is proving very useful already.
Sarah Dickinson – Property Manager
I joined Guardian Residential in 2017 as a Property Manager after spending my career working in the private sector for councils and housing associations in similar property management roles. I look forward to a long and enjoyable career working for Guardian Residential focusing on learning all aspects of property management in the lettings industry.
Layla Smithers – Trainee Property Manager and Administrator
I joined Guardian in 2017 as an apprentice, hoping to learn all aspects of property management and administration. I am currently training on learning the legislation surrounding the lettings industry and the administration involved with setting up a tenancy correctly and legally. I look forward to furthering my career and remaining within the property management industry for many years to come once my apprenticeship is complete.
Josephine Cheuk – Residential Sales Negotiator / Sales Progressor
I have been at Guardian Residential since June 2015 originally working in the property management department and more recently as an estate agency negotiator / sale-progressor. My time spent in the lettings department has given me great insight into the industry and I am able to advise potential landlords on buy to let successfully. I currently oversee the sales progressing and monitor the sales from the point of offer to a successful exchange ensuring the quickest and most efficient route possible. My duties as a residential sales negotiator including conducting viewings, training on instructions, maintaining our large database of potential purchasers and preparing advertising. I am currently enrolled with Cilex the professional body of chartered legal executives and am gaining a legal qualification to assist my role.
Ryan Wood - Residential Sales Trainee Negotiator
I joined Guardian in 2017 after identifying estate agency as a career path I would like to follow. I am in the early stages of becoming a Residential Sales negotiator and I am responsible for some of the daily administration duties including generating sales particulars, portal listings and preparing window cards accurately. I monitor the Harlow market closely to familiarise myself with the numerous property types and house prices in the area. I look forward to developing my career at Guardian.
Kevin Hassan – Senior Lettings Negotiator
I joined Guardian in 2015 after working within the property industry for in excess of 15 years. I have most recently managed a team of 5 staff in a medium sized estate agency and have decided to focus on the lettings side of the industry within Guardian Residential. I am a highly experienced negotiator and utilise my skills in procuring rental properties, instructing rental properties onto the market correctly and setting up successful long term tenancies.
Tom Ridgewell – Lettings Negotiator
I joined Guardian in 2016 initially alongside my business qualification that I was studying, however upon completion of my course I am now working as a full time lettings negotiator. My duties include conducting viewings, preparing the advertising and working towards instructing rental properties and furthering my career to become a well-rounded property professional. I have a keen interest in the local property market and look forward to a career within this industry.
